I’ve been offering comprehensive and affordable private lessons for over 45 years. My job is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From day one, they learn important foundational techniques to help them boost their skills and self-esteem.
Each one has a unique learning style, and it’s my duty to find out what that is and adapt my lessons accordingly.
I have been playing since I was 5 years old. I taught myself to read music at age 9 and later, continued my personal education at Dalhousie University for theory, education and performance skills. I have also played, performed and recorded for over 40 years from Canada's West to East Coasts.

I play Blues, Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Fingerstyle and anything with a good rhythm. I know all the scales you want to use and what you want to know about them: Patterns, Harmonization (pulling the chords out of them), how to use them and which ones work for each style.

You are the only teacher I have been able to find (after going through a few) who took things where I wanted them to go.
